1. Overview
LoonForge LLC ("LoonForge," "we," "us," or "our") is a Delaware limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our websites, online stores, and applications, including loonforge.com, the Loon & Co. website and store, the SketchForge application, and any other site or app that links to this policy (together, the "Services").
By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Information you provide to us
- Contact information — such as your name and email address when you contact us, join a waitlist, or subscribe to updates.
- Account information — such as a username, email, and password if you create an account in one of our apps.
- User content — such as sketches, images, designs, project files, and other material you upload or create in the Services (for example, a drawing you upload to SketchForge to generate a 3D model).
- Order information — such as your shipping address, billing name, and details of items you purchase.
- Payment information — payments are handled by third-party payment processors (such as Stripe or PayPal). We receive confirmation of your payment and limited transaction details, but we do not store your full card number.
- Communications — messages you send us, including support requests and feedback.
3. Information collected automatically
When you use the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Device and usage data — such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your visits.
- Approximate location — inferred from your IP address (city or region level).
- Cookies and similar technologies — small files or identifiers used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Services are used. See Section 6.
4. How we use information
- To provide and operate the Services — including processing your uploads into outputs you request (for example, converting a sketch into a printable 3D model), fulfilling and shipping orders, and providing customer support.
- To communicate with you about your account, orders, and updates to the Services.
- To send marketing communications you have signed up for. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- To improve and develop the Services, including troubleshooting, analytics, and developing new features.
- To protect the Services and our users, including detecting fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only in these circumstances:
- Service providers — companies that perform services on our behalf, such as website and app hosting, payment processing, order fulfillment and shipping carriers, email delivery, analytics, and manufacturing or printing partners needed to produce items you order. These providers may use your information only to perform services for us.
- Professional advisors — such as accountants, lawyers, and insurers, where reasonably necessary.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of LoonForge, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of some or all of our assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- With your direction — when you ask us to share information, or use a feature that shares it by design.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies that are necessary for the Services to function (for example, keeping you signed in or keeping items in a cart), and we may use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the Services so we can improve them. Most browsers let you control or delete cookies through their settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Services from working.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. You may request deletion as described in Section 9.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and the right to opt out of certain processing. We extend these request options to all of our users regardless of residence:
- Access, correction, deletion — email us at hello@loonforge.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
- Marketing opt-out — use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or contact us.
- Appeals — if we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will take another look.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
10. Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International visitors
We are based in the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Services, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
12. Third-party links and services
The Services may link to third-party websites and services (for example, expertlysimple.io or a payment processor's checkout page). This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
